The 24 Blackline Mojo is a conventional trolling rod series designed specifically for striper (striped bass) fishing in Northeast and Mid-Atlantic coastal waters. The primary technique is mojo rig trolling, sand eel/bucktail rigs dragged at slow speeds, though the series is also applicable to pulling plugs, live-lining bunker and eels, and working large plastic swim jigs along sandy beaches. Target angler is the striper boat angler who uses rod holders and fights fish from a gimbal position.

Construction reflects the trolling application: heavy-duty guides manage heavy-braid abrasion, a carbon slick butt provides a secure, slide-in/out rod holder interface, and a full Fuji double-locking reel seat prevents reel shift under load. A shrink rubber foregrip improves grip during prolonged fights. A gimbal at the butt accepts fighting belts. The blank itself is conventional graphite; Daiwa does positions this as a work-use rod instead of a sensitivity-focused series. Line ratings run 30–100 lb braid across the four models.

Four casting (conventional) models only, no spinning. Two lengths (6'6" and 7') each offered in MH (30–80 lb) and H (50–100 lb) power. The 6'6" models are suited to rod-holder trolling from smaller boats where shorter rods provide better spread control; the 7' models provide more action spread and tip-flex for larger fish. MH models serve bucktail and lighter plug work; H models are for chunking heavy bunker rigs or large plugs in fast current.

BL661H-MJ Casting · 6'6" · H · R action

Heavy-power 6'6", the compact option for tight-quarters boat trolling with 50–100 lb braid. Suited for heavy bunker rigs, large umbrella-adjacent rigs, or situations where rod holder positioning limits length.

BL701MH-MJ Casting · 7'0" · MH · R action

The lighter-duty 7' version. 30–80 lb range covers standard bucktail and mojo trolling. The longer blank provides more tip flex and better shock absorption on strikes at speed, reducing pulled hooks on soft-mouthed fish.
