24 Blackline Surf

The Daiwa 24 Blackline Surf is a US-market surf spinning series designed for casting distance and sensitivity on open beaches, made for striped bass, bluefish, and similar surf species from shore. The series covers the 9'–11' range with power ratings from Medium to XH, positioning it for anglers who fish cut bait, metals, and heavy plugs from sand or rocks. Construction relies on Daiwa's SVF NanoPlus carbon blank (higher fiber density via nano particles for a lighter, stiffer blank), reinforced with X45 bias fiber wrapping to resist torsional stress during full casting strokes, and Braiding X for additional reinforcement under load.

V-JOINT technology promotes smooth, continuous bend curve through the blank sections. The 9'2" MX model (BL902MXS) receives a MEGATOP solid-carbon tip for enhanced bite detection when soaking bait. All models use Fuji K-frame guides with SiC rings and Daiwa's Air Sensor reel seat, which keeps weight down while maintaining rigidity. Shrink-rubber rear grip aids casting grip. Seven spinning-only models span 9'–11". Two 9'6" models cover MH and H power with Fast action.

The 9'2" MX model stands apart with Extra-Fast action for finesse applications. The 10' and 11' models escalate through H and XH power, extending reach and handling heavier terminal rigs in strong surf. Casting or conventional models in the lineup is absent.
