The 24 TD Sol Inshore is Daiwa's current inshore saltwater spinning series, developed with Southeast U. S. Coastal guides for species like snook, redfish, speckled trout, and tarpon. It translates readily to other Atlantic and Gulf coast inshore fisheries. The target angler is a dedicated inshore specialist who holds a rod all day and wants a blank that is both light and capable under heavy loads. A light freshwater tool, or a jigging rod, it is specialized for casting live bait, paddle tails, soft plastics, and topwater lures in the 3/16–2 oz range with moderate to heavy line.
Blanks use Daiwa's HVF (High Volume Fiber) carbon construction, more carbon fiber per volume of resin, yielding a lighter, stiffer blank, reinforced with X45 bias-wrap technology that resists ovalization and torsion under load. All models feature Fuji Tangle-Free K-guides suited for braid, a cork handle, and a 5-year limited warranty. The 8-foot MH and larger models add a Fuji Backstop reel seat and a graphite GRC butt cap. Guide and reel seat quality is above-average for the price tier. Nine models, all spinning, across three length groups: 7', 7'6", and 8'.
Powers run ML through XXH. The 7' and 7'6" models (ML/M/MH, F action) cover the core inshore range; the 8' models step up into heavier work, the H XF is suited for tarpon and trophy reds, the XH Regular and XXH Regular models are specialized for heavy bottom fishing and multi-species applications requiring near-straight-pull power.
Deeper Dive
A closer look at notable models.
Extra-fast action at H power is unusual in a spinning rod this long, suited for large-profile lures requiring quick hooksets, or where fish make hard, fast runs requiring immediate rod loading. Crossover potential for tarpon and large snook.
Regular (moderate) action at XH power, intended for heavy bottomfish, cobia, or amberjack applications where a forgiving tip absorbs runs and keeps fish pinned instead of tearing hooks.
Heaviest blank in the series. 40 lb line ceiling and 3 oz lure max push this into near-offshore territory, appropriate for large cobia, shark, or heavy live-bait presentations from a pier or bridge.
