Species-targeted saltwater rods for SE US offshore and nearshore species
The 25 Darkwater Saltwater is Daiwa's technique-specific inshore/nearshore saltwater series made for southeastern US game fish, sailfish, king mackerel, tuna, dorado, built with input from regional guides and tournament anglers. Models break into sailfish, kingfish, and trolling sub-roles, making this species-and-method-optimized collection. Blanks use Daiwa's HVF Nanoplus graphite (roughly 10% lighter than standard HVF via resin reduction) and X45 bias-wrap construction to resist blank twist during hook-sets.
Fuji K-Guides throughout. Casting models carry a wrapping EVA grip for secure hold in wet conditions; trolling variants use Daiwa's Carbon Slick lower grip for smooth rod-from-holder extraction. Line ratings span 15–80 lb depending on model. Nine rods, all 6'6"–7'6", mix of casting and spinning. Actions split by purpose: regular (R) action on designated kingfish and trolling models for shock-absorption and fish retention; fast (F) on models meant for direct fight control.
The 7'6" MH R models (DRKW70MHB-KF, DRKW76MHB-KF) are specifically labeled for kingfish live-bait presentations.
