25 Saltiga Slow

Daiwa's 2025 flagship slow-pitch jigging series made for serious offshore anglers running slow-pitch and slow-fall technique at mid to deep range over structure. All five models are conventional (baitcasting) at 6'1", a length selected to maximize jig control and rod load during the slow-pitch stroke without sacrificing leverage during the fight. The jig weight range (noted in oz on Daiwa US listings, which appear to represent grams, likely a unit labeling issue; actual serves are 150–500g jigs) spans light to heavy slow-pitch applications and pelagic species from amberjack to tuna and deep-water bottom species.

SVF Nanoplus graphite blank, minimal resin binder for high strength-to-weight ratio, wrapped with X45 bias construction at 45-degree fiber angles to resist torque and compression during the fight. Fuji titanium LRV guides are corrosion-resistant and reduce dead weight. EVA split-grip keeps the blank exposed for direct sensitivity. The parabolic slow-action (S) is shared across all models, the line is deliberate; slow-pitch technique requires the blank to load and unload through the full stroke, outside the fast-tip response lane.

Five power ratings at 6'1": L (SAGSL61LB), M (SAGSL61MB), MH (SAGSL61MHB), H (SAGSL61HB), XH (SAGSL61XHB). Powers correspond to jig weight and target depth/species, L/M for 150–250g shallower applications, MH/H for 180–350g mid-depth, XH for 230–500g deep or heavy current conditions.
