Deep-drop electric reel rod series from Daiwa's Tanacom family, designed specifically for pairing with Tanacom and Seaborg series power-assist electric reels in deep-water applications, canyon swordfishing, deep-drop snapper/grouper, and offshore bottom fishing at 100–600 m. These are not conventional casting rods; the 'DD' suffix (Deep Drop) and RF action indicate a rod optimized to work with an electric reel where the angler is directing fish under reel power.

Built for the U. S. East Coast and offshore canyon fisheries. Blank construction blends HSD graphite and Glatech glass-carbon composite with Daiwa's Bias Wrap for strength under sustained bend from deep-water pressure. The composite blend is deliberate, pure high-modulus graphite is fragile under the constant heavy compression of electric reel deep-drop work. RF (Rapid Fast) action provides tip sensitivity for bite detection while the butt section has the stiffness to control fish mechanically.

Line ratings 60–200 lb suggest braided deep-drop line. Six models: four at 5'6"–6' with H and XH power ratings (60–200 lb lines), one 6'6" XH, and one 7'0" XH with an SF suffix (likely Slow Fight variant for swordfish). The shorter models (5'6"–6') are the standard pairing with Tanacom 500/750 reels; the 7' SF model is swordfish-specific, designed for a slower fight and greater leverage at depth.
