Aird Coastal Inshore

The Daiwa Aird Coastal Inshore serves light-tackle saltwater anglers fishing redfish, speckled trout, flounder, and similar inshore species. It is positioned at a value price point within the Daiwa inshore lineup, below the Coastal Salt Pro and Tatula Salt tiers. The intended user is a regular inshore angler who wants corrosion-resistant components and reliable blank sensitivity without a premium price. Blanks use Daiwa's Braiding-X Technology, carbon tape wound diagonally over the mandrel to reduce blank twisting under load, producing a more responsive tip with stiff butt.

Aluminum-oxide guides and cork handles are standard. All models are 1-piece for maximum sensitivity and blank integrity. Construction is clearly oriented toward light-to-moderate inshore lure fishing; no surf or offshore application is implied. The 19-model lineup includes both spinning and casting models, with spinning dominating. Actions are predominantly XF and F, consistent with the fast-tip inshore preference for hook sets on light line. Two notable exceptions are the 6'6" and 7' Regular action casting models (ACIN661MRB, ACIN701MRB), which are geared toward crankbaits and slow-rolling swimbaits where a faster action would kill lure performance.

Lengths span 6'–7'6". Power runs ML through H. The 7'6" models (H, MH, M) extend reach for wading or open-water casting to tailing fish.
