Inshore saltwater spinning series from Daiwa built and tested for East Coast back-bay conditions, striped bass, redfish, weakfish, and bluefish in tidal estuaries, back-bay flats, and nearshore structure. The design emphasis is heavier power ratings than typical inshore rods, reflecting the striper-focused East Coast market where 20–30 lb braid to a fluorocarbon leader is the standard setup. Extra-fast action throughout the lineup.
MSRP $189.99. Blanks use Daiwa HVF (High Volume Fiber) technology for a dense, low-resin carbon construction that balances weight and stiffness. FUJI FazLite Tangle-Free K-frame guides throughout, suited for braided lines and reducing wind knot snagging. Full cork grip handles. All models are spinning. A 5-year limited warranty applies. Six spinning models: two at 7'6" (M and MH extra-fast), one at 7'6" H extra-fast, one at 7'1" M fast, and a 7'10" M extra-fast.
Line ratings 8–25 lb; lure ratings 1/8–1.5 oz. The extra-fast actions dominate, which suits soft plastics, jig heads, and surface plugs in estuary conditions. The BB76HXS-L is a left-hand-retrieve variant of the BB76HXS, the same rod blank with a reel seat configured for left-hand wind, which is unusual in a spinning lineup.
