The Daiwa Beam X Glass Ultralight is a fiberglass ultralight series made for anglers seeking the slow, parabolic action that graphite blanks cannot replicate. Primarily trout, panfish, and small-stream fishing with tiny lures and light line. Glass construction absorbs shock during the fight, reducing pulled hooks on small-mouth fish, and the regular (slow) action adds natural lure movement to small spinners and inline lures.
All three blanks are glass construction with a regular (R) action, UL power, rated 2–4 lb line and 1/32–1/4 oz. The lineup includes both spinning and casting variants, which is uncommon in the ultralight glass segment and expands utility for anglers who prefer baitcasting on small water. The BX501ULRS (5'0" spinning), BX561ULRS (5'6" spinning), and BX561ULRB (5'6" casting) cover the core length range.
The two 5'6" models offer side-by-side platform options for the same presentation; the 5'0" spinning is the most compact option, suited to small streams and brush-lined banks.

The only casting model in the series. At 5'6" UL with regular action and glass construction, it fills a narrow niche for anglers who prefer baitcasting gear on small-water panfish and trout, where the glass blank's forgiving bend helps prevent thrown hooks.
