Beef Kitty Catfish

The Beef Kitty is a dedicated catfish series from Daiwa, built for anglers made for channel, blue, and flathead catfish from bank, boat, or dock. The long-length, high-power configuration suits heavy bait rigs, cut shad, chicken liver, punch bait, in rivers, reservoirs, and big-water systems where 2–6oz sinker rigs and 15–50lb line are standard. The glow-in-the-dark tip is a practical feature for night fishing, the dominant time frame for serious catfish pursuits.

Blanks are heavy-duty composite (glass/graphite mix), prioritizing durability and fish-fighting power over sensitivity, appropriate for catfish where bite detection comes from watching the tip instead of feeling the blank. Titanium oxide guides handle heavy monofilament and braided line without groove wear. Lengthened shrink-tube handles provide grip and leverage for sustained fights. Construction serves durability over weight, and the rods are noticeably heavier than comparable graphite blanks.

Seven models cover 9' to 12', all two-piece, all regular/slow action. Power ranges MH to H. Six spinning models plus one casting model at 10' and one at 12'. The 9' MH (BFK902MHRS) is the lightest option for shorter casts and smaller water; the 12' models (spinning and casting) extend reach for bank fishing big rivers. The 11' and 12' models step up line rating to 17-40lb or heavier, appropriate for deep holes and current.
