Black Label Travel adapts the Black Label blank program into a packable format. All ten models are five-piece: the blank divides into four equally spaced sections numbered 01 through 04 plus a detachable grip, so the longest section stays near 50 cm and the packed tube clears standard carry-on limits. Construction follows the parent line, with X45 Full Shield bias carbon for torsional stiffness, a 3DX honeycomb outer structure for recovery and stability, HVF Nanoplus blanks using Toray nanoalloy resin, and a carbon-reinforced Air Sensor reel seat.
The spread is wider than a purely domestic bass lineup because these rods are aimed at travel to fisheries outside Japan as well. The light end is S66L-5 at 6'6", rated 1/32 to 1/2 oz and PE 1.2 max, and S70ML+-5 at 7'0", rated 3/32 to 1 oz. The middle covers C66ML-5, C66M-5, C70M-5, C70MH-5, and C73H-5, the last rated 3/8 to 3 oz and PE 6 for general heavy work. Two big-fish models anchor the top: C64XH-5 SB at 1/2 to 6 oz, and C61XXH-5 SB rated to 10 oz and PE 8 for swimbaits and oversized species. NEON C63MH-5 FR is a dedicated frog rod at 1/4 to 1.5 oz. Line ratings are quoted in PE rather than pound test across the lineup, which is standard practice for Japanese travel rods expected to see saltwater and exotic freshwater targets.
