Shore jigging means casting metal jigs from rock ledges, breakwaters and open surf for pelagic fish that come within range of the bank: buri and hiramasa (Japanese amberjack and yellowtail amberjack), sawara, dorado and small tuna. The nearest American parallel is surf casting for striped bass or false albacore, except the metal runs 60 to 200 grams and the retrieve is a worked jerk-and-fall cadence rather than a straight swim. Break Through, released in 2023, is the top rung of the Dragger ladder and is aimed at the rock-shore end of that fishery, where a fish has to be turned before it reaches structure. Six models, all three-piece: 100MH-3 (3.05 m, jig 30-100 g, plug 20-80 g, PE 2-4), 100H-3 (3.05 m, jig 40-130 g, PE 3-5), 100HH-3 (3.05 m, jig 60-160 g, PE 4-6), 93XH-3 (2.82 m, jig 80-200 g, PE 6-8), the 2.51 m 83XXH-3 plugging model (lure 70-210 g, PE 6-10, no jig rating) and the 3.0 m 910H-3 JS jig special (jig 40-130 g, PE max 5, no plug rating). Blanks use HVF Nanoplus carbon with X45 Full Shield over the full length and V-Joint alpha ferrules, with carbon content reaching 99 percent. Guides are stainless MN frames through the middle and titanium-framed RV guides at tip and butt. The split ratings exist because a 100 g jig is compact and dense while a 100 g diving pencil is bulky and loads the blank harder on the cast and through the retrieve.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 6 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.
