Emeraldas AIR Ikametal is the high-standard tier of Daiwa's boat squid range and the lineup built around mass. Ikametal is fished at night under boat lamps with a metal sutte, a barbed lure cast in lead or tungsten and rated in grams and in 号 sizes; the take is often only a slight loss of weight while the lure hangs still, so the rod is held for hours and every gram in the hand matters. Eight models run 4'10" to 7'0" at 67 to 79 g, the K410LB-S being the shortest and lightest, and cover the three standard concepts: N for the loading taper, K for the hooking taper, OR for omorig and heavy sutte on a longer rear grip. Sutte ratings span 20 to 150 g or 5 to 40号 against PE 0.4 to 1.0, with five baitcasting models and three spinning; no ultralight-to-heavy power scale is used. Rather than a metal tip, the series takes MegaTop carbon solid tips finished in orange paint for visual bite detection, chosen for crisper handling at low weight. AGS carbon guides, X45 bias reinforcement, HVF Nanoplus carbon and a V-JOINT ferrule carry over from the flagship. Baitcasting models use the light ZERO SEAT cavity trigger, spinning models an Air Sensor Slim Fit seat in downlock form.
