Emeraldas MX Boat

The mid-tier boat eging series, below AIR Boat and EX Boat and above X Boat. Boat eging is fished vertically from a drifting hull rather than cast from the bank, most often in the tip run style where a heavy egi is dropped, jerked a few times and then held motionless while the boat's drift swings it; squid take on that dead stop and announce it only as a slight bend in the tip. Because the method uses weighted tip-run egi or a standard egi plus a clip-on sinker, the rods are rated in grams instead of the 号 body-length sizes used for shore eging. All five MX Boat models are rated 15 to 70 g on PE 0.4 to 0.8 braid. Lengths run 5'11" to 7'0" and weights 73 to 83 g, short because the rod is worked over the side of the boat with no casting stroke required. Every model carries the -S suffix and a Mega Top carbon solid tip, the part that does the detection work. Blanks are HVF Nanoplus carbon with X45 bias reinforcement, fitted with SiC-ringed K guides and an Air Sensor carbon reel seat. The two 5'11" models cover shallow and deep drifts at 15 to 50 g and 18 to 70 g respectively.
