The interline build of the mid-tier MX platform. Instead of standing the line off the blank on guide frames, an interline rod threads the braid through the blank itself, entering at the butt and exiting at a single tip ring. For squid fishing this solves a specific problem: the jerk-and-sink cadence of eging leaves slack line after every stroke, and slack line in wind finds a guide, especially at night when the wrap is not seen until the next cast fails. Daiwa uses a linear interline structure inside the blank, a spiral of raised ridges that keeps the line riding on peaks rather than lying against a wet wall, plus a water-repellent internal treatment to stop droplets forming and dragging. Five two-piece models run 8'3" to 8'6" and 98 to 102 g, a tighter spread than the outguide MX because interline demand concentrates around the standard shore lengths. Egi ratings are 1.8号 to 4.0号 on the Japanese scale of roughly 3 cm of egi body per unit, on PE 0.4 to 1.0. Blanks are HVF Nanoplus carbon with X45 bias reinforcement and V-Joint ferrules, on an Air Sensor carbon reel seat with a carbon monocoque rear grip.
