Interline construction runs the braid down the inside of the blank and out through a single tip ring, so there are no external guides along the rod. Squid anglers accept the trade because eging is a slack-line technique fished in wind, at night and often from rocks: line that hangs loose after each jerk wraps a conventional tip constantly, and a wrap discovered mid-cast costs a tip section. An interline blank cannot tangle around guides at all, and with no guide frames in the airstream the rod swings faster. The cost is internal friction, which Daiwa addresses with a linear interline structure that puts spiral ridges inside the blank so the line rides on the ridge peaks rather than lying flat against a wet wall. This is the interline arm of the flagship Stoist family. Six two-piece models run 7'8" to 9'1" and 84 to 94 g, the 91M being the longest rod in the Stoist range and a distance tool for high banks and shallow flats. Egi ratings run 1.8号 to 4.5号, the 号 scale being roughly 3 cm of egi body per unit, with PE 0.4 to 1.2 line. Blanks are SVF Compile-X Nanoplus at 97 percent carbon content with X45 Full Shield bias carbon and V-Joint alpha ferrules, on an Air Sensor carbon reel seat.
