Emeraldas X is the entry tier of the Emeraldas shore range, below MX, AIR and the flagship Stoist, and the widest first rod in the family. Ten two-piece models run 7'6" to 8'9" and 90 to 109 g. Blanks are HVF carbon rather than the Nanoplus grades used further up, reinforced at the butt with Braiding X, a cross-wrapped carbon tape that resists torque when an egi is jerked without adding diameter. Guides are K frames, whose sloped shape sheds the loops of slack braid that eging generates, and the reel seat is the carbon Air Sensor design used across the range. Egi ratings cover the broadest spread in the lineup, 1.5号 to 4.5号 on the Japanese scale that sizes egi by body length at roughly 3 cm per unit, with line from PE 0.2 to 1.2. The 76UL-S and 79L-S sit at the light end with Mega Top carbon solid tips and PE 0.2 to 0.8, aimed at small autumn squid on 1.5号 to 3.5号 egi, a class of fish that a standard M-power rod will not register. The 83MH at 3.0号 to 4.5号 anchors the heavy end for deep water and strong tide. The remaining models use tubular tips.
