Great Lakes Trolling

Great Lakes trolling series covering the primary techniques used on the open lakes: standard trolling (dipsy divers, inline planer boards), leadcore and copper-wire trolling, steel-wire line trolling, and Twili-Tip leadcore. Anglers here are salmon, steelhead, and walleye trollers working structure and open water on Lakes Michigan, Erie, Ontario, and Superior. All 15 models are casting rods, Spinning variants is absent. Blank construction is graphite composite throughout, providing a balance of sensitivity and durability for sustained trolling loads.

Guide specification varies by technique: standard and Twili-Tip models carry aluminum-oxide guides on stainless-steel frames; dipsy-diver and leadcore/copper-wire models use chrome-plated stainless-steel guides for reduced friction with coated and braided lines; steel-wireline models carry roller guides with a swivel top that prevents line grooves and allows 360-degree wire management. Triangular Powerlift grips on wireline models prevent rod rotation in the holder. The Twili-Tip technology provides a 360-degree-adjustable tip ring for precise leadcore planing angle control.

Fifteen models span 7' to 10'6" in lengths, with clear technique separation by suffix: no suffix = standard/dipsy trolling; -WL = wire line roller guides; -LC = leadcore chrome-plated guides; T-prefix (GL76TMF, GL86TMF) = Twili-Tip models. Rod powers range ML to MH. The 7' standard models (GL701MLF, GL701MF) serve close-in jigging or small-boat trolling; 8'6"–9'6" models cover the main spread; the 10'6" GL1062MHF is the longest reach tool for deep-water or extended-spread configurations.
