Hijiri (Sei, written with the kanji for 'sacred') is Daiwa's new-generation herabuna pole family, announced for October 2026 in twelve lengths from 7 to 21 shaku - 2.10 m to 6.30 m. The blanks run 87-99% carbon and stay unusually light for their class: 41 g at 7 shaku rising to 158 g at the full 21 shaku, across three to six sections that stow between 77 and 120 cm. MSRP spans 44,000 yen at the short end to 105,000 yen for the longest pole, placing the family in Daiwa's premium hera tier.
