The Daiwa Kage Premium Bass series serves freshwater bass anglers who want tournament-grade construction at an independent-retailer price point. Technique designations are built into the model names, jerkbait, mag spoon, frog, flipping, A-rig, deep crankbait, shakey head, showing a series organized around specific presentations instead of general-purpose use. The primary audience is the serious weekend competitor and tournament angler. Blanks are constructed with SVF NanoPlus high-density graphite and wrapped with Daiwa's X45 bias fiber technology, which reduces blank twist under load.
Air Sensor reel seats keep weight low while transmitting vibration; Fuji Alconite ring guides with braid-friendly inserts handle modern line types. Cork handles are contoured for extended grip comfort. The blank tapers are individually developed per technique instead of shared across power classes. The 14-model lineup runs 6'8" to 7'11" and combines spinning and casting.
