Kyoga X

Kyoga X is the entry tier of Daiwa's tachiuo brand, three rods for boat hairtail jigging. Tachiuo are taken on metal jigs worked with a one-pitch rhythm, often between 60 and 150 m down, and their teeth and soft biting make the tip and the hookset the whole argument. The three models share a 6'3" length, a centre-cut two-piece build and blank weights of 102 to 105 g, and are separated by a numbered jig class rather than by any power letter. The 63B-1.5 takes 60 to 160 g on PE 0.6 to 1.0, with the stiffness pulled back so the jig does not jump; it covers shallow water down to about 100 m and hooks fish more or less automatically, which is why Daiwa points it at Tokyo Bay, Suruga Bay and the Hakata area. The 63B-2 takes 60 to 180 g on PE up to 1.2 and is the all-round choice, working to roughly 150 m. The 63B-3 is a firmer regular-slow taper for 80 to 200 g on PE up to 1.5, aimed at water past 150 m and the larger winter fish of Kagoshima, Oita, Toyama Bay and cold-season Tokyo Bay. Butt sections are reinforced with Braiding X carbon tape, and the reel seat is an original design that clamps the reel deep.
