Megathis R Entou (メガディスR 遠投, MEGATHIS R ENTO in Daiwa's Latin script) is the long-cast companion to Daiwa's Megathis R iso series, listed in Daiwa's new-product release for October 2026. It has three 5.3 m five-section telescopic models, the 3-53, 4-53 and 5-53 entou, weighing 350, 395 and 440 g with closed lengths of 123 to 124 cm. Sinker load is 5-15, 10-20 and 12-25 go, the nylon leader rating 3-8, 4-10 and 5-12 go, carbon content 99%, and MSRP 83,500 to 86,500 yen before tax.
Against the previous model, Daiwa added one guide to the #4 section, revised the overall guide layout, and fitted a Fine Pitch Guide Lock to the #1 tip section to stop the sliding guides from loosening or rotating. The guides are free-sliding K guides. Listed construction includes V-Joint alpha, X45 and HVF Nanoplus, with an elastomer Super Fit pipe reel seat with a screw lock and a shrink-tube rear grip.
Daiwa lists the 3-53 for madai, isaki, gure and small aomono (yellowtail-type fish); the 4-53 for heavier deep-water rigs, large madai and gure, and medium to large aomono; and the 5-53 for large kago (feeder-basket) rigs and migratory fish such as hiramasa and buri.
