Morethan Branzino EX AGS Bait

The baitcasting arm of the EX AGS flagship, added in September 2024. Three two-piece models are built around a variable blank profile intended to load the same way under a light plug or a heavy one: the 80HB at 2.44 m, rated to 100 g on PE 2.0-4.0 and weighing 183 g; the 88MB at 2.64 m, rated to 40 g on PE 1.0-2.5 at 154 g; and the 93MHB at 2.82 m, rated to 50 g on PE 1.5-3.0 at 174 g. They carry the same construction set as the spinning models, with SVF COMPILE-X Nanoplus blanks, X45 Full Shield bias carbon, V-JOINT alpha joints, AGS carbon-frame guides and CWS carbon wraps; the 88MB uses the Air Sensor carbon reel seat. Daiwa names the 80HB Power Bite Custom for 17 cm and larger swimbaits and oversized topwater, the 88MB Technical Versatile Custom for harbors and mid-size rivers, and the 93MHB Power Distance Custom for wide rivers and open tidal flats. Japanese seabass, or suzuki, is fished at night around bridge shadow lines, pilings, sea walls and tidal current, structure that rewards a thumbed, low-trajectory cast and direct lifting pressure once a fish turns for cover. That is why these run shorter than the 2.62-3.30 m spinning lineup. Ratings stay metric because Japanese lures are sized in grams and braid is sold by PE grade, not pound test, so the printed numbers match the local tackle rather than an ounce-and-pound scale.
