Neo Stage DG

Electric jigging is a Japanese offshore discipline in which a powered reel takes over the retrieve while the angler works the rod, letting jigs be fished at depths and speeds that a hand-cranked outfit cannot sustain through a day. Neo Stage DG is Daiwa's dedicated range for it, four two-piece baitcasting rods with a grip joint, 6'0" to 6'3" long and 185 to 230 g in blank weight. There are no power letters; the rods are keyed to jig grams and PE. The J63B-2 is the light one, 100 to 250 g on PE 1 to 2, built around a 200-size electric reel and covering nearshore yellowtail and hairtail in 50 to 100 m as well as slow-style work deeper. The J60B-4 and J63B-4G both take 160 to 350 g on PE 3 to 4: the first is the firmer blank for anglers who still want to move the jig by hand, the second uses glass as its main material for a softer, low-recoil action under sustained high-speed retrieves. The J60B-6 handles 300 to 500 g on PE 5 to 6 and is matched to the Seaborg G400J for large amberjack and tuna. Blanks are HVF Nanoplus with X45 bias reinforcement, guides are stainless-framed SiC K guides, and the reel seat is a PLS trigger design with an anti-slip aluminium locking nut.
