Blade jigging, a Japanese near-shore style built around a metal jig fitted with a spinning blade, cast or dropped and then retrieved fast so the blade turns. Spanish mackerel are the primary target and yellowtail the secondary one, which sets the design brief: a soft tip that does not deflect a slashing bite, a butt with enough reserve to stop a larger fish, and guides sized between a light jigging rod and a light casting rod so line clears cleanly on the cast without tip wraps. All three models are spinning, center-cut two-piece, and rated twice, once for casting and once for vertical use. BLJ 610MHS at 6'10" (2.08 m) casts to 70 g and fishes 20 to 100 g vertically to about 60 m. BLJ 68HS at 6'8" (2.03 m) casts to 100 g and fishes 30 to 140 g to about 90 m. BLJ 66XHS at 6'6" (1.96 m) casts to 130 g and fishes 40 to 180 g to about 120 m. PE class is 1.5 to 2 maximum and weights are 137 to 144 g. The blank is HVF carbon with X45 plus a V-Joint at the ferrule, and the straight 160 mm rear grip is sized to lock under the arm during fast retrieves.
