Outrage BR C

Offshore casting and popping in the Outrage BR tier, which Daiwa calls the standard model: below the high-standard Outrage line and above the entry XV line, described as approaching the performance of the rank above it. The practical difference from Outrage C is the blank material, HVF carbon with X45 rather than HVF Nanoplus, and slightly heavier finished rods. Five spinning models are rated by plug grams and maximum PE class, not by a power letter. C80-3 and C80-4 sit at 8'0" (2.44 m) with MAX 60 g on PE 3 and MAX 80 g on PE 4, C81-5 at 8'1" takes MAX 100 g on PE 5, C83-6 at 8'3" (2.51 m) is the longest rod in the group at MAX 130 g and PE 6, and C82-8 at 8'2" is the heavy model at MAX 160 g and PE 8 for large amberjack, yellowfin and giant trevally. Rod weights run 220 to 400 g. Daiwa positions C83-6 as the first serious amberjack and yellowfin rod for someone entering plug fishing, and notes the heavy C82-8 is deliberately softer than its power class suggests so it stays workable through a long day.
