Light casting, the smallest casting rods in the high-standard Outrage tier. Daiwa defines the category by the gap it fills: too much rod for a boat seabass stick, not enough for a full bluewater popping rod. The three spinning models cover Spanish mackerel and small to mid-size yellowtail on PE 1 to 2, throwing minnows, sinking pencils, small topwaters and 30 to 50 g metal or blade jigs. Ratings are plug grams and PE class, not a power letter. LC73-2 at 7'3" (2.21 m) is the all-round choice, MAX 50 g and PE 2. LC76-2 at 7'6" (2.29 m) has a shortened rear grip for jerking and twitching 140 mm minnows. LC70-2.5 at 7'0" (2.13 m) takes PE 2.5 and MAX 55 g, with a longer rear grip so the rod can be locked under the arm for fast blade-jig retrieves. All three weigh 175 to 180 g and are two-piece. The blank is HVF Nanoplus with X45 and a V-Joint, and unlike the heavier C series these use the lightweight Air Sensor seat rather than a Fuji DPS, since the fishing is retrieve-intensive rather than plug-heavy.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 3 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.
