Saltiga J TS, sold in full as Technical Steer, is the short-rod control specialist in Daiwa's conventional jigging line, released in Japan for 2025. Its defining number is length. All three spinning models measure 5'5" (1.65 m) in one piece, shorter than the 6'0" to 6'4" rods that dominate the J family, which cuts the load on the angler's body and tightens the link between a rod stroke and what the jig does. Daiwa's brief is a rod that steers the jig at will, from fast jerking down to around 40 m through to a subdued, slower lift in deep water. The lineup is 55S-2.5 (jigs to 220 g, PE max 2.5, 159 g), 55S-3 (to 250 g, PE max 3, 159 g), named as the all-round centerpiece, and 55S-4 (to 300 g, PE max 4, 169 g), rated for blue-water fish over 10 kg. Read the numbers carefully: the suffix is the PE line class, not the jig weight, and no UL-to-XH power letter is published at all. That is the norm across Japanese offshore jigging, where a rod is specified by the grams of jig it will work and the PE (号) line number it is built around, PE 1 running roughly 20 lb. Within Saltiga this is the only J rod built on SVF nanoplus with M40X, and the only one combining that with CWS carbon-cloth guide wrapping over AGS Type R frames with C rings. X45 Full Shield handles blank torsion and the reel seat is a ZERO SEAT.
