Saltiga LC

LC stands for light casting, and this is the one Saltiga casting family an American angler could pick up without recalibrating. It fills the gap between a boat seabass rod and a full offshore plugging rod, aimed at Japanese Spanish mackerel and small to medium amberjack in harbors and close-in coastal water. The lure menu is blade jigs, minnows, sinking pencils and small metal jigs, worked at speed on 4000 to 6000 size spinning reels, so the blank is built for cast feel and vibration feedback rather than lifting torque.

Three two-piece models are offered: 73-2 at 7'3" (2.21 m) and 161 g, 76-2 at 7'6" (2.29 m) and 165 g, and 70-2.5 at 7'0" (2.13 m) and 163 g. Lure ceilings are MAX 50 g on the PE 2 models and MAX 55 g on the PE 2.5. As on the heavier Saltiga casting rods, the code gives length in feet and inches followed by the PE line class, which is also why no ultralight-to-extra-heavy power letter appears: line class and gram rating carry the information instead. Blanks are SVF Nanoplus at 94 percent carbon with X45 Full Shield and V-Joint Alpha, joined at the grip rather than mid-blank. The seat is an Air Sensor design with a straight, stepless profile for underarm casting and fast retrieves, and guides are titanium-framed K-frames throughout.
