Saltiga LJ is Daiwa's standard-tier light jigging line, sold in Japan as the 2022 model. Light jigging sits one step down from conventional jigging: instead of 100 to 300 g jigs on PE 2 to 4 for big amberjack, LJ works 40 to 200 g on PE 0.6 to 2.0 in the 50 to 100 m range, on rods short enough to jerk all day. Below it is super light jigging at 10 to 80 g, and beside it, on a different axis entirely, slow pitch jigging, where the rod is loaded and unloaded so the jig falls fluttering and the bite comes on the drop. Ten one-piece rods run 6'1" to 6'3" (1.85 to 1.91 m) at 125 to 150 g, seven baitcasting and three spinning. Ratings step 40 to 120 g on PE 0.6 to 1.2, 60 to 160 g on PE 0.8 to 1.5, and 80 to 200 g on PE 1.0 to 2.0. Three constructions run together: the TG (Thrill Game) models are full MEGATOP carbon-solid blanks built to bend deep, the -S models carry a MEGATOP solid tip on a tubular blank, and 63XXHB is fully tubular. The two 61H/XH rods are hybrids, described by Daiwa as merging the merits of low-response and high-response actions, which is why they carry two power letters at once. Those letters are Daiwa's own grading and do not map onto the American UL-to-XH scale; jig grams and PE class are the working ratings. Blanks are HVF nanoplus with X45 Full Shield, guided with AGS carbon frames, and the spinning models use an AIR SENSOR SEAT.
