Sealine Boat

The Daiwa Sealine Boat is a workhorse saltwater boat-rod series built for bottom fishing, light offshore, and nearshore vertical or live-bait applications. The target angler is a party-boat or private-boat saltwater fisherman who needs reliable, affordable rods that can handle grouper, snapper, amberjack, and similar species at depth. All models are spinning, designed for vertical presentation and boat-side fights. Blanks are E-Glass composite (fiberglass-forward), which sacrifices sensitivity relative to graphite but adds durability and forgiveness under prolonged load, appropriate for deep-bottom fishing where blank feel is secondary to lifting power.

Guides use aluminum-oxide rings in saltwater-resistant frames. EVA foam handles provide wet-weather grip; a nylon gimbal butt-end with removable cap allows fighting belt use. Line ratings run 15–100 lb, covering everything from light-tackle reef work to heavy bottom duty. Nine spinning rods, all 6'6"–7', in MH through XXH power ratings. The lineup skews toward the heavy end: four rods rated H–XXH at 40–100 lb line. A fast-action (F) tier addresses more direct presentations; regular-action (R) models are for live bait or heavy sinkers where load absorption matters.

The SLN66XXHR (XXH, R, 50–100 lb) is the anchor of the heavy end. The FP-suffix models (SLN70HR-FP, SLN70MHR-FP) appear to denote flat-pattern or fork-tail finish, likely for extended charter use.
