The Sealine Surf is Daiwa's graphite surf series that covers both traditional heavy-bait surf fishing and, unusually, a light-tackle surf niche with L-power slow-action models. It sits in a step above the Beefstick in construction while undercutting the Emblem Pro in price. Regular surf forum commentary positions it alongside the Daiwa Emcast as a value-performance option, historically praised before the line was intermittently discontinued and relisted. Blanks are lightweight graphite in two-piece configuration with high-density EVA handles and an ergonomic hooded reel seat.
Aluminum oxide guides throughout. The construction is comparable to the Emblem Pro's graphite approach but at a lower build specification. Reviewers note it casts acceptably with the rod's forgiving tip but won't outperform dedicated distance sticks. Saltwater-rated components. Eight models span 9' to 12' in both spinning and casting format, with a clear split in purpose: six MH/H Fast-action models (9'–12') handle conventional heavy surf bait duty with 15–50 lb line, while two L-power Slow-action spinning models (10' and 12', SLSURF1002LSS and SLSURF1202LSS) serve an entirely different application, light-tackle flounder, pompano, or finesse bait fishing in calm surf with 6–15 lb line and 1/4–1/2 oz rigs.
The slow L-power models are the distinguishing feature of this series versus most surf lineups.

A closer look at notable models.
The only 9 ft casting (conventional) model and the highest power in the series at H. Configured for heavy bait casting on open beach or from rock jetties; 20–50 lb line and 2–6 oz lure range handles most bait rigs for stripers and large drum.
L-power, Slow-action 10 ft spinning rod, a genuine light-tackle surf tool. At 6–15 lb with 1/4–1/2 oz lure range, this is for pompano, flounder, or finesse whiting rigs where feel and live-bait presentation matter in calm conditions. Distinctly different from the rest of the MH/H lineup.
Same L/S application as the 10 ft sibling but at 12 ft for extended casting range in light-tackle surf conditions. The extra length helps keep light line above wave wash while maintaining the sensitive, slow-loading tip for detecting subtle bites.
