The RC branch of Daiwa's flagship Steez brand, introduced in 2023 and supervised throughout by tournament angler Kyoya Fujita. Daiwa's stated concept is true operability, which it defines as maneuverability: putting a cast on a chosen spot, working the lure exactly as intended, and holding a hooked fish, without the rod working against the angler at any of those three steps.
Thirteen rods, six spinning and seven baitcasting, from 5'10" to 7'6". Model codes carry an RC prefix, as in RC C73H-SV ST. Blanks are SVF Compile-X Nano Plus reinforced with X45 and X45 Full Shield and supported by the 3DX honeycomb structure, with AGS carbon guides and Carbon Wrapping System mounts. MegaTop or MegaTop R solid tips appear on the ST models, the SV suffix marks the SVF blank grade, and reel seats are Zero Seat or Air Sensor depending on model.
The spread is wide for a 13-rod series. It opens at the S510XUL-SV ST, a 5'10" spinning rod weighing 50 g and rated 1/96 to 3/32 oz on 1 to 3 lb line, and closes at the C76MH+-SV at 7'6" and 5/16 to 1.5 oz. Tapers are specified per model rather than uniformly fast: extra fast on the solid-tip rods, fast through most of the casting models, and regular on the S61L-SV and S63UL-SV. Rod weights run 50 to 107 g. Where Shore Competition is scoped to bank fishing, Real Control covers the Steez brand's general technique spread.
