Swagger is a Japanese-domestic Daiwa bass series that runs in the same price and performance band as Black Label but is specified and styled as its own thing. It launched in December 2022 with C65MH-FR, a technical frogging rod, and has grown to 16 models. Blanks use X45 Full Shield bias carbon, with HVF Nanoplus on the models that need the higher fiber density and standard high-density HVF carbon elsewhere, mounted on a carbon-reinforced Air Sensor reel seat. The finish is matte ice gray with white logos, a deliberate departure from the flat black most JDM bass rods use.
Lengths run 1.93 to 2.18 m, roughly 6'4" to 7'2". Model codes follow Daiwa's standard grammar: C for casting or S for spinning, then length, then power, then a suffix for intent. The lineup is a set of technique specialists rather than a filled-out grid. C65MH-FR covers frogs, C66L-LM and C66ML-LM are low-modulus cranking blanks, C68MH-SB and C611XH-2 SB handle swimbaits, C72H is the power position, and C610M and C610MH are the versatile rods. Spinning is intentionally thin, with S64L, S64UL-2, and S66ML. Several models ship multi-piece, including the two-piece S64UL-2 and C611XH-2 SB and the five-piece C66M-5, S66L-5, and S70ML+-5, so travel coverage sits inside the series instead of in a separate sub-line.
