The Daiwa Tanacom Dendoh is an electric deep-drop rod series designed specifically to pair with Daiwa's Tanacom electric reels for deep-water bottom fishing, made for grouper, tilefish, snapper, and similar species at depths where manual retrieval is impractical. The construction reflects the specific demands of electric fishing: the blanks must absorb erratic surge loads from large fish while the electric reel handles retrieval, so blank resilience and pump-lift capability outweigh sensitivity as design priorities. These are not sport-casting tools. Blank construction uses Glatech technology, unidirectional fiberglass sandwiched between 90-degree inner and outer graphite layers, producing a blank with high crush resistance and progressive lift power.
Powerlift grips are integrated to give the angler maximum mechanical advantage when manually pumping fish before the reel takes over. Alps Swivel Tip-Top prevents line twist at depth; Seaguide aluminum oxide ring guides minimize wear from heavy monofilament or heavy braid at high retrieve speeds. The aluminum reel seat and curved butt end are practical for rod-holder use on offshore boats. All 10 models are casting format (conventional reel). The single short model, TNB28XH-KT at 2'8" XH, is a stand-up rod for vertical jigging applications from rod holders or fighting belts. The remaining 9 models split between 5'6" and 6'6" lengths in MH, H, and XH power, each available in two variants: DD (standard butt) and DDL (long butt), a distinction that accommodates different rod-holder depths and angler height preferences.
Line classes range from 40–100 lb (MH) to 80–200 lb (XH), covering the full range of deep-drop species from lighter tilefish rigs to heavy grouper setups.

A closer look at notable models.
Stand-up rod at 2'8", intended for use in a fighting belt or gimbal for vertical deep-drop jigging or fighting very large fish. The XH power and minimal length maximize lift force. The KT designation likely indicates a kidney/fighting harness-compatible configuration.
Heaviest-rated 5'6" model. The 80–200 lb line range is appropriate for large grouper, amberjack, and similar heavy bottom species at depth. DDL (long butt) variant accommodates deeper rod holders or provides additional leverage during manual pumping.
