Tatula Travel

Tatula Travel is the multi-piece version of the Japanese Tatula, five models built as four-piece rods on standard put-over (namitsugi) ferrules rather than telescopic sections. Every model packs to under 60 cm: 53 cm for the shortest spinning rod, 57 cm for the longest baitcasters. That fits a carry-on bag or a car trunk without a rod tube, which is the point of the series.

The blanks carry the same technology set as the one-piece and center-cut Tatula rods. SVF carbon gives the thin, light wall; X45 bias carbon resists twist under load; and V-Joint places biased carbon sheet at each of the three ferrules so a four-piece blank still bends in a continuous curve instead of hinging at the joints. Reel seats are Air Sensor Seat carbon composite, all models have a hook keeper, and a rod bag is included. Carbon content is 97 percent.

The five models cover the working range of Japanese bass fishing rather than a specialist set: 664LFS at 1.93 m and 91 g for 0.9 to 7 g finesse spinning, 684MLFS at 2.03 m and 102 g for 1.8 to 11 g, 664MLRB at 1.98 m and 105 g for 3.5 to 14 g, 6104MRB at 2.08 m and 115 g for 5 to 21 g, and 6104MHRB at 2.08 m and 118 g for 7 to 28 g. Daiwa released the series in February 2026.
