Td Eye

The Daiwa TD Eye is a walleye-specific rod series based on HVF (High Volume Fiber) graphite blanks with X45 Bias construction, made for serious recreational and tournament walleye anglers. The series prioritizes sensitivity for jigging and light-line presentations -- particularly vertical jigging with 1/16-3/4oz heads on spinning tackle. The HVF blank technology packs more carbon fiber per cross-sectional area than standard graphite layups, producing a lighter, more sensitive blank.

X45 Bias construction lays additional carbon at 45-degree angles to the main axis, resisting blank twist and ovalization during casting and fish-fighting. The Megatop (solid-tip) construction on select models provides enhanced bite detection at the rod tip -- a technology derived from Daiwa's Japanese finesse series. Fuji LY guide system and Fuji reel seats are standard. The series retails at approximately $149.99, placing it in the mid-tier walleye market. The 17 models divide into 11 spinning and 6 baitcasting.

Spinning models run 6'3"-7'6" in ML and M power with XF and F actions -- heavy concentration in the 7'-7'3" range for vertical jigging and casting. Models with -MT suffix indicate Megatop solid-tip construction (TDEYE701MLXS-MT, TDEYE702MLXS-MT, TDEYE76TMRB-MT) for sensitivity-first jigging.
