Team Daiwa Surf

The Team Daiwa Surf series serves surf anglers who fish from beaches, jetties, and shorelines casting to a wide range of species, stripers, redfish, pompano, drum, and bluefish among them. The lineup accommodates both bait fishing and plug fishing (pencil poppers, metal lures, large soft plastics), and the range of power ratings suits anglers choosing between lighter finesse presentations and heavier bait rigs in big surf. Blanks are built on Daiwa's HVF Nanoplus construction, which combines high-volume fiber orientation with a nano-particle resin for a slimmer, lighter profile than conventional high-modulus graphite at equivalent power.

X-45 bias carbon wrapping suppresses ovaling and torsion under load, relevant in long-cast surf applications where the blank flexes through a wide arc. Fuji Alconite ring guides throughout. X-Tube grip handles are rubberized for wet-hand control. All models are two-piece except the 7' ML, which ships as a one-piece. The 10-rod lineup is spinning-only, split into a short end (7', 8', 9') and long end (10', 10'6", 12') with overlapping power ratings at each length.

Power runs from ML (7') through MH (12'), all Fast action. The short end covers beach bass and light surf work; the long end addresses distance casting with heavier weights. Casting (conventional) models included, the series is strictly spinning-oriented is absent.
