Trout X NT

NT is native trout, the counterpart to Trout X AT in Daiwa's entry tier. Native trout (ネイティブトラウト) means wild fish in running water rather than stocked pond fish: yamame, amago, iwana and rainbows in headwater streams, mountain streams and mid-river reaches, taken on spoons, spinners and minnows. Daiwa describes the action as covering both retrieve-driven presentations, where a spoon or spinner is simply swum through a seam, and worked-lure presentations where a minnow is twitched. Seven two-piece models run 1.42 m to 1.91 m (4'8" to 6'3") at 68 to 90 g. Five are spinning: 48UL-N and 53UL-N at 1.5 to 7 g on 2 to 6 lb for tight headwater work, then 56L-N, 60L-N and 63L-N at 2 to 10 g for wider water and heavier lures. Two are baitcasting, 48ULB-N at 1.5 to 7 g and 51LB-N at 2 to 10 g, covering the short accurate casts that stream corridors demand. Every model carries the -N suffix. The blanks use Braiding X, carbon tape wrapped in an X pattern over the butt section, which suppresses rotational loss under load while keeping the blank slim. This is the accessible end of Daiwa's stream lineup, sitting below Purist, Wise Stream and the Silver Creek family.
