Sierra

The Dobyns Sierra is a value-positioned bass rod series in the Dobyns lineup. Blanks are high-modulus graphite with Kevlar wrapping for hoop strength, paired with Fuji reel seats, Fuji Alconite guides, and Portugal AA-grade cork grips. Dobyns markets the series as built on the spine and balanced through the handle to bring tournament-quality components into a more accessible price tier.

The series runs roughly 19 one-piece models ranging from 6'8" through 7'6" in casting and 6'9" through 7' in spinning. Power ratings span ultralight through extra-heavy on the casting side, with finesse-oriented light through medium-heavy on the spinning side. Model codes split into three sub-lines. C designates standard casting rods for general bass technique work.

SF designates spinning finesse rods built for dropshot, shaky head, ned rig, and light hardbait presentations. FLIP designates dedicated flipping and pitching sticks with heavier powers and shorter working butts for close-quarters cover work.
