The Destroyer T. S is a JDM signature series based on a specific collaboration between Megabass founder Yuki Ito and Japanese actor/bass angler TS, who pursues world-record class largemouth bass at Japan's Lake Biwa. It is engineered specifically for casting and fighting extremely large bass on heavy swimbaits, oversized wakebaits, glide baits, rats, magnum jigs, umbrella rigs, and deep-running crankbaits. Target angler is the dedicated big-bait specialist fishing trophy fisheries. Blanks use Megabass's SLX (multi-axis layered graphite) construction with DNA-SLX technology on the heaviest models, borrowed from saltwater tuna rod development.

The construction prioritizes torque resistance and lifting power over finesse sensitivity. Heavier models (TS78X and up) use a two-piece offset handle design with a heavy-duty grip joint that allows transport without compromising strength. Double-footed, double-wrapped guides throughout. The spinning model (TS72XS) is an outlier, a lighter-lure complement to the casting-heavy lineup. Seven models span 7'2" to 8'2". The lighter end (TS72X, TS711X) covers half-ounce to 4oz casting with Fast/Regular action.

Mid-range models (TS77X Casino, TS78X Baccarat) step into 2–10oz territory with Medium-Fast action. The top three models (TS78X+, TS79X, TS82X) are for 3–25oz ultra-heavy application with Regular action and 20–45lb line. Casting rods dominate; the single spinning model (TS72XS) runs MF action at 12–30lb.

A closer look at notable models.

TS72XS Spinning · 7'2" · L · MF action

Named 775. The sole spinning model in the series, Medium-Fast action at 7'2" with a lighter lure range (3/8–1.25oz per JP spec). Designed for presentation angles and finesse situations where baitcast control is less critical.

TS72X Casting · 7'2" · H · F action

Named POKER. Lightest casting model in the lineup, Fast action at 7'2". Suited for half-ounce to 3oz presentations, large jigs, swimbaits, big topwater. The entry point into the TS series for anglers not yet throwing the heaviest payloads.

TS77X Casting · 7'7" · XH · MF action

Named CASINO. Megabass specifically calls out super-deep crankbaits and magnum spoons as primary serves alongside large swimbaits. Two-piece with offset handle. Medium-Fast action at 7'7" provides more load depth for heavy, slow-moving baits.

TS78X Casting · 7'8" · XXH · MF action

Named BACCARAT. Employs DNA-SLX graphite system derived from Megabass's tuna rod program. The 4–10oz range serves 200g+ big baits. Special hood locks the reel; heavy-duty grip joint allows breakdown without structural compromise.

TS79X Casting · 7'9" · XXH · R action

Named HUNTING WEAPON 209. Regular action at 7'9" in the 4–20oz range, one of the widest lure windows in the series. Two-piece offset handle. Built to load and cast very heavy, slow-recovering baits while retaining the backbone to horse fish from cover.

TS82X Casting · 8'2" · XXH · R action

Named TENCHIJIN. The longest and heaviest-rated model at 8'2" with 25–45lb line and 6–25oz lure weight. Essentially a big-bait rod pushing the boundary of practical casting tackle. Two-piece offset handle standard.
