LEVANTE
First-generation LEVANTE (2019): Megabass's Japan-market tournament bass rod in 12 designs and 26 one-, two- and four-piece configurations, since replaced by the 2026 LEVANTE.
The first-generation LEVANTE, released in 2019, was Megabass's Japan-market tournament bass rod. Megabass describes it as the first edition of a line developed by its Project "Zero" factory team. The technology came from LEVANTE USA, the rod Megabass fielded in the B.A.S.S. Elite Series, and the Japanese models were developed from scratch for Japanese waters. The blanks use what Megabass calls its ultra-low-resin "Levante Graphite" system, paired with a "High Balancing" method that sets the balance point with a reel mounted.
The catalog holds 26 configurations of 12 designs. Ten are casting (LV) models, from the F2-64LV (1/16-3/8 oz) to the F10-711LV big-bait rod (3/4-6 oz); two are spinning (LVS) models, the F1-63LVS (1/32-1/8 oz) and the F2-69LVS. Lengths run from 6'3" to 7'11". Ten designs come in one- and two-piece versions, four of them also as four-piece travel rods, and the F8-710LV and F10-711LV are two-piece only. Megabass's page for this generation no longer lists any models: the 2026 LEVANTE replaced it.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 26 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.
