Celilo B Salmon Steelhead Rods

The Okuma Celilo B series is a 21-model Pacific Northwest specialty lineup for salmon, steelhead, and halibut. Blanks use a sensitive graphite composite material balanced for strength and feel, with UFR-II Ultimate Flex Reinforcement at the tip. Components include titanium-oxide guide inserts, fore and rear tapered Neo cork grips, and stainless steel reel seat hoods. Lengths run from a 5'6" heavy halibut stick up through 10'6" float and drift rods.

Casting models (CE-C) cover plug pulling, side-drifting, back-bouncing, and heavy halibut work. Spinning models (CE-S) handle float fishing, drift fishing, jig fishing, and casting spoons and spinners. Actions range from extra-fast on the halibut model through moderate on the longer float rods. Line ratings span 4-12 lb on the lightest spinning trout-steelhead models up to 50-100 lb on the 5'6" halibut casting blank.

Lure windows match technique, from 1/16 to 1/4 oz on light spinning sticks up through 4 to 16 oz on the heavy plug rods. The 9'6" and 10'6" lengths suit float work where line management and cushion matter on light hooks. Shorter casting models in the H and XH classes lift big halibut and pull heavy diving plugs.
