Classic Pro Glt

The Okuma Classic Pro GLT is a fiberglass-blank Great Lakes trolling rod series designed for the specific demands of salmon and steelhead trolling on large lakes. The target angler fishes from a planer board or downrigger boat for chinook, coho, steelhead, and lakers using diving planers (Dipsy Divers), copper line, leadcore, and downrigger setups. All models use fiberglass blank construction -- not graphite -- which is appropriate for the series' purpose: fiberglass provides the dampening and flex needed to absorb the sustained load of trolling hardware and to cushion fish-fighting with braided or copper lines.

Construction includes uplocking Fuji-style reel seats with stainless hoods, heavy-duty double-foot stainless guides, shrink tube rear grips for rod holder compatibility, and triangle foregrips for positive grip and minimal twist. The 17-model lineup divides into functional sub-groups by model prefix: CP-C (standard trolling, 8'6"-9'), CP-CL (lead core), CP-DD (diving disk/Dipsy Diver, 9'-10'6"), CP-DR (downrigger, 7'-8'6", S/slow action), CP-LT (lead tape), CP-PB (planer board, 7'10"-8'6"), CST-LB (lever-drag board), and CST-UR (unilateral rigger).

The CP-DD models at 9'-10'6" are the longest in the series, suited to long-line separation on larger charter-style setups. CP-DR models run slow action for consistent rod bend over a long troll.
