Sst A Carbon Grip Rods

Okuma's SST 'a' Carbon Grip series is the next generation of the SST salmon and steelhead family, swapping the traditional cork grip for 3K woven carbon fore and rear sections. The lineup runs 22 rods, 11 casting and 11 spinning, with lengths from 7'6" up to 10'6" and powers from light through extra heavy.

Blanks are 24- to 30-ton low-resin carbon in two-piece construction. Guides use stainless steel frames with zirconium inserts to reduce friction on braided lines and limit corrosion in saltwater estuary use. The series is backed by Okuma's one-year warranty. The SST-C casting and SST-S spinning models cover the standard salmon and steelhead technique spread: float fishing, drift fishing, plunking, side-drifting, plug pulling, jig-and-bobber, spoon and spinner casting, and bobber-dog.

Heavier extra-heavy models extend into mooching, sturgeon, and saltwater plug applications.
