The Smith Magnum Husky KOZ III is the third generation of Kozo Okubo's snakehead-specific series, produced by the big-fish hunter known for chasing trophy fish worldwide. The KOZ line is dedicated to snakehead, a fight that demands a rod able to wrench a hooked fish out of heavy cover and pads with no hesitation, and the third generation refines that brief further.
The lineup is all casting, running from 6'8" to 8'1" in heavy, extra-heavy, and super-heavy powers, with line ratings given in PE classes for the heavy braid these tactics require. Two models, the 813SH and 783XH, were scheduled as later additions to the range.
