The Smith Troutin' Spin Lagless Boron is a trout series built for the twitching of heavy-sinking minnows, named for the lag-free, immediate response Smith pursued in the blank. The construction combines 24, 30, and 40-ton carbon with boron and a woven graphite layer, paired with a thoroughly matched ultra-small K-guide train to keep weight and inertia low at the tip.

The series is purpose-built around heavy-sinking minnow patterns such as Smith's own D-series, where crisp, repeatable twitch input and instant blank recovery matter more than casting range. Models run from 4'5" to 8'3" in a consistent medium power, all spinning, covering small streams through larger water with the same twitch-oriented character.
