The Smith Troutin' Spin Multiyouse is a compact, multi-piece trout rod series designed for anglers working tight mountain streams, headwater sources, and overgrown brushy creeks. The series covers both short-pitch baitcasting scenarios and longer spinning presentations, appealing to anglers who move quickly through varied terrain and need a rod that packs small without sacrificing casting feel. Blanks span glass, mixed glass/graphite, and straight graphite constructions depending on model. The ultrashort TRMK-394UL and C394UL use a glass-plus-24t graphite composite for cushioned action at 3'9".
Full-glass models (TRMK-423UL, 483UL, C423L, C463L) deliver slow-to-moderate action suited to light spinner and minnow work. Mid-range models transition to 24t graphite, while longer spinning models (705L through 805M) use a 24t+30t graphite blend for sharper loading. All models use Fuji stainless SiC-S guides with LGST tip, high-grade cork grip, and come with a semi-hard case on certain models. Multi-piece constructions (3–5 pcs) collapse to 35.5–53 cm for pack travel. The lineup divides into spinning models (TRMK prefix, 9 rods from 3'9" to 8') and baitcasting models (TRMK-C prefix, 4 rods from 3'9" to 5'6").
Spinning lengths start with tight-quarters glass rods under 5', step through graphite mid-length models at 5'–6', and end with longer graphite rods (7'–8') for main river and wading use. Baitcasting models top out at 5'6" ML, covering underhand flips and short-punch presentations in dense cover.

Glass+24t graphite composite, shortest spinning model at 35.5 cm packed. Designed for small stream short-pitch presentations with a cushioned glass tip. Handles light spinners and micro minnows to 6g.
Full-glass, pistol-grip baitcast. Shaped around 50mm-class heavy sinking minnows and compact spoons. Glass tip absorbs the load of short-flip presentations under brush.
Full-glass blank, solid-glass tip section only, 3-piece. Slow moderate action built for trout in tight undercut and overhang situations. Glass construction absorbs shock on light hooks.
Full-glass baitcast, slightly longer than C423L for marginally wider casting arcs. Rated 2–10g and 3–6lb, same heavy-minnow-focused design as C423L.
Full-glass, 3-piece. Extends reach vs. 423UL while retaining the same glass-moderate action suited to light minnows and spinners in small headwaters.
Transitions to 24t graphite, 4-piece. MF taper allows accurate casting to tight serves and supports twitching presentations on small minnows. Balanced for active point-to-point upstream work.
Longest baitcast model, 24t+30t graphite. Covers open tributaries and main channel spots where a 50mm-plus minnow or large lure is needed. ML power handles larger fish runs.
24t graphite, 4-piece. Covers mid-distance casting from open banks and slightly heavier lure range. Rated UML (between UL and L) for fish from small streams to modest-scale main rivers.
24t+30t graphite blend. Soft UL tip suited to trout area-style minnows and spoons under 7g, 4-piece pack design. Works wading smaller rivers and lakes with a feather-light presentation.
24t+30t graphite, 5-piece (46.5 cm packed). Covers main river and wading applications. Rated for 3–10g lures and 4–10lb line, handles spoons and divers for larger trout and salmon.
24t+30t graphite, 5-piece. Steps up from the 705L for larger rivers and wading scenarios. Rated 3–13g and 4–12lb, capable of handling bigger trout on spoons and deeper-running minnows.
