Plasma II

Plasma II is Star Rods' multi-discipline saltwater family covering inshore, boat, jigging, slow pitch, and stand-up applications in both spinning and conventional formats. Blanks combine two types of multi-directional graphite over a reinforced graphite butt weave bound by Star's Duratech technology, transmitting load from butt to tip during the loading cycle. Sub-lines are encoded in the model number after the PII prefix.

JC/JS denote jigging conventional/spinning blanks with parabolic tip sections that load and unload to drive lure action. SPC marks slow pitch casting builds rated by grams of jig weight. SUA covers stand-up conventional models with extra-high modulus graphite and Fuji aluminum reel seats, Fuji HD guides, carbon PowerButt with aluminum gimbal, and EVA foregrip. Plain PII codes with line ratings are boat/inshore models, and the trailing G suffix on inshore spinners marks the split-grip cork "G" build variant.

Inshore models use Fuji K guides for tangle resistance and Fuji SK2 reel seats to reduce weight and increase sensitivity. Line ratings run from 4-10 lb up through 50-100 lb stand-up classes, and lure ratings span 1/8 oz to roughly 18 oz across the range.
