Crappie Slayer

The Duckett Fishing Crappie Slayer is a specialized crappie spinning series made for light jig, small swimbait, and float-rig presentations for crappie and panfish. It fills the gap between generic ultralight rods and premium crappie-specific tools, using multi-module graphite blanks with a Halo-Sanded finish for a claimed improvement in strength-to-weight ratio. The target angler is a crappie or panfish specialist fishing from a boat or shore with 1/32–1/8oz jigs on light line. Blanks are built from Sensi-Touch premium multi-module pre-pregs with a Halo-Sanded surface treatment.

The split reel seat is designed for direct blank-to-hand vibration transmission, a crappie-relevant feature given the light bites and soft mouths involved. EVA split grip handles are described as high-impact and cut-resistant. Guides use 316 stainless frames with industrial hard chrome inserts. Moderate-fast action is consistent across all models, softer than fast-action bass rods but with enough backbone for hooksets on light hooks. Warranty is one year. All six models are spinning rods with moderate-fast action, spanning 5'6" to 7'3".

Power is either L (Light) or ML (Medium Light), the three longer models (6'3", 7'0", 7'3") include ML variants. The DFCR63ML-S and DFCR73ML-S offer slightly more power for larger crappie, heavier jigs, or occasional bass incidentals. Casting rods exist in this lineup is absent. The length range addresses boat fishing (shorter rods for dock shooting and jigging under brush) through dock or bank fishing (longer rods for reach and float control).
